WordPress for the RTs
Basic Structure of RT Pages
The structure of the RT pages with main menu, top menu, footer navigation, and silver bar (“Become a Member”) is fully configured. In keeping with the club’s corporate identity, please edit only the main menu (only the RT designation here) and the associated RT sub-menu items.
These pages or links must remain as the basic structure for all RTs:
Minimum standard for each RT includes the following pages:
- Introduction to the RT
- RT Leadership (including Internet and Technical Representatives)
- Club Venue (date and location for monthly meeting)
- Events (external link to event calendar)
Only the first three pages need to be regularly maintained by the Internet Representatives. Events are automatically imported from the event database. For the RT Leadership page, there are ready-made templates that should be filled out according to instructions (see next page).
For RTs with their own WordPress installation, the main menu has also been configured so that the link to the club homepage—as required in the specifications for an RT presence within the club homepage environment—appears first. “All Regional Chapters,” “Become a Member,” and the pages linked in the footer are imported as external pages and therefore do not need to and must not be edited.
The footer contains legally important, partially mandatory pages and must under no circumstances be modified or removed.
