Inquiry to the Technical List
Send an email to technikliste@107sl-club.de:
Describe the content of the inquiry as briefly and concisely as possible in the subject line, e.g.
- Workshop recommendation in the Frankfurt region
- Tire recommendation 280 SLC
- Rough engine idling after cold start, 500 SL, year of manufacture 1982
Describe the inquiry as accurately as possible in the body of the email. This includes the following information:
- The VIN – without it, precise assignment of parts and build status is not possible. For general questions only, the model (e.g., 300 SL, 450 SLC) and year of manufacture are sufficient.
- Mileage in km
- Detailed description of the problem (constant error, sporadic error, when does the error occur, what troubleshooting steps have already been taken, etc.)
- Name and membership number (optionally, email address)
- Attachments are possible (up to 10 MB), but should be kept as small as possible

Terms of Use
The circle of participants in the list is practically limited only by the number of club members. The Terms of Use are intended to define and delimit the scope, meaning, and purpose of the list. It is the essence of a club and a matter of course that interactions with one another—even in the virtual world—take place on the basis of community, camaraderie, and friendship.
- The Technical Email List (also referred to as the “list”) is a service of the Mercedes-Benz R/C 107 SL-Club, provided exclusively and free of charge to its members. Participation in the Technical Email List ends automatically when membership ends.
- The list serves exclusively for the purpose of exchanging information or providing assistance with technical problems concerning the R/C 107 series. The principle is “by members for members.” Announcements of dates or discussions about club matters or the state of the world are not desired.
- The club assumes no liability or guarantee regarding the technical or content accuracy of the posts communicated via the list. Furthermore, the “Important Information” in our club magazine applies. The same rules apply to links to external websites.
- The club reserves the right to discontinue this service at any time without giving reasons.
- The list is maintained, serviced, and, if necessary, moderated by a member acting as administrator (Listmaster). The moderator is appointed by the board.
- The club reserves the right to exclude registered members from the list in the event of a violation of the terms of use and rules of conduct. Exclusion may be temporary or permanent.
- By registering for the list, the participant agrees that inquiries, replies, or comments may be published—even in excerpts—in the club magazine (e.g., in the section “Jörgen’s Practice – Tips – Technology (PTT)”) or in other media of our club, including the names of the authors.
Agreement to the rules and notes listed here
is a condition for participation in the mailing list!
Liability within the List
Please understand that for liability reasons, the R/C 107 SL-Club must always point out that all applicable regulations (StVZO [Road Traffic Licensing Regulations], accident prevention, environmental protection, etc.) must be observed.
Working on vehicles requires qualification as well as great care and prudence.
The club recommends only commissioning specialist workshops and using original spare parts as well as operating materials, supplies, and documentation approved by the factory whenever possible.
All advice is given to the best of our knowledge and generally takes into account the information in the factory documentation; nevertheless, it is only intended as recommendations for professionals.
The club and the members acting on its behalf expressly disclaim liability for any damage resulting from failure to follow these instructions.
