After much deliberation, I have brought myself to sell my red R107 500 SL because I simply don’t drive it enough.
Moreover, now that it has been twice for several weeks at the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Fellbach, it is as flawless as never before.


Incidentally, I have owned this car for a little over 11 years, purchased with a low total mileage of approx. 66,000 km, now 75,000 km. The manual air conditioning was completely overhauled in Fellbach and cools well, which I gladly appreciated in the warm summer months…..

The offered 420 SL in the classic Silver Arrow color combination silver – red is a

true rarity. With only 2,148 vehicles produced, the 420 SL is the model with the

lowest production number of the entire 107 series. Of these, just over 237,000 Roadsters and almost 63,000

Coupes left the Mercedes-Benz factory in Sindelfingen during the 18

production years between 1971 and 1989.

The R/C 107 series, from the 1982 energy concept onwards, had the following OVP relays installed, first A1265404745 in 4-pin, which was later replaced by A2015400845 5-pin. Both are no longer available. With this adapter cable, later 7-pin or 9-pin relays can be installed and used using the plug&play method.
